Massage Therapy is much much more than just a body rub. However, touch alone has been studied and proven to be highly therapeutic and helpful in reducing pain and stress. We value that "touch" in our profession, and would never under-value or underestimate it's wonderful impact on healing.
It is Assessing joints, tissues, pathology - it is digging deeper and locating the source of your pain and discomfort, and taking the necessary steps to guiding you back to health and well-being. We do not have a magic pill that will make you better in one shot. We do not use expensive tools and toys and machines made to intimidate and make you believe you will magically get better after a few treatments from it.
And temporary relief - well, you can get temporary relief just about anywhere. You can probably get it cheaper and faster than here. But we are not about temporary relief. We strive for long-term health, and for you to have a long healthy life. If you are interested in long-term results, and are ready to take the necessary steps to attain those results, including hard-work with self-care (homework), you are in the right place.
Isn't it time to stop wasting time, energy, and money on temporary relief?

My name is Danielle Amyot and I am a recent graduate from the Massage Therapy program at Durham College where I graduated as Highest Ranking Student, as well as with honours. I got into Massage Therapy because, while I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do with my life, I knew I wanted to help people. I quickly fell in love with all things Massage Therapy and realized that I could combine my interest of health sciences with my desire to connect with and help people. I am passionate about contributing to people being able to live their most healthy, happy, and pain-free life. I have a special interest in treating people in pregnancy, as well as infants. I was fortunate enough to be able to do so at a pregnancy and infancy centre, as well as other diverse areas such as at a traumatic brain injury centre, a long-term care centre, and for the Durham College’s varsity sports teams. I am thrilled to start out my career at a clinic that places a heavy importance on truly helping people to feel their best.

Owner/Founder of StoneRMT. The truth is, I sort of stumbled across Massage Therapy - in fact, Massage Therapy found me! It all started when I went cliff-diving in Corfu, Greece in 2008, fracturing my sternum and C5 of my cervical spine. I met a traveling Massage Therapist from the U.S. and he helped me to recover! Now here I am… To Sum it up… I am a Goal-Oriented Woman and RMT. I take pride in everything that I do, because it Matters! One of the things that I do, is I treat Patients with Massage Therapy for my Profession. I take pride in this, because it matters. Because YOU matter!! And my Goals are simply, to make a difference in this world, however small. However insignificant to the World in its entirety, it will also matter greatly to me, to know that I am making a difference, however small. My small and faded footprints on this world, are little in the grand scheme of things; but they are one small footprint step, toward the bigger picture “Good Health, Good Living, and Happiness” That is all we can ever ask for out of life!
